Dr. Polly Hoppin directs the Environmental Health Program of the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production. With a focus on advancing the use of scientific tools for prevention-oriented policy, she helps the health sector address links between environment and health, with particular expertise in asthma.
Elise Pechter serves as the Health Care Services Board’s Public representative. For the last 16 years Elise has been part of the Occupational Health Surveillance program within the health statistics bureau at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. She is responsible for sentinel surveillance of work-related injuries and assuring the link between surveillance and prevention, with a focus on work-related injuries
Kyle Cahill is Director of Sustainability & Environmental Health at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts where he is responsible for the company’s sustainability strategy, programs focused on improving the environmental health of members and MA communities, and sustainability collaborations within the broader health care industry. Prior to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kyle was Senior Program Officer at Oxfam America, leading the organization’s work on poverty footprinting and was Director of Corporate Engagement at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) working on initiatives addressing climate change, safer products and materials, water use and waste reduction.
